Eğirdir Faculty of Fisheries

The Faculty of Fishery is a higher education institution which produce engineers who will provide new information and technology production for the fishery products sector which has been improving rapidly in our country.
The Department of Basic Sciences provides consultancy services and does research in the area of limnology, oceanology, spring water, rivers, bitter water, lakes, dam lakes, species, and water quality.
The Department of Hunting and Processing Technology does research in the area of inland water, methods of sporty and commercial fish hunting in the sea, all kinds of fishing equipment, techniques of hunting water creatures, navigation (cruising) and processing of sea products in various ways.
The Department of Cultivation of Fishery Products and Diseases does research in the area of cultivation of commercial aquatic beings, plans and projects of fish farms, bait production and fish diseases.
Concerning undergraduate courses in faculty, Production of Marine Fish, Processing Facilities, Net Manufacturing, and Applications for Navigation are carried out in facilities, enterprises and harbors in Isparta, Afyon, Antalya, Aydın, Muğla and other provinces in the region.
Graduate students have the title of Fishery Engineer. While the graduate students can work as researchers in Turkey’s various universities in the field of basic research, they can also work in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs; fishery related companies or they can establish their own enterprises.
